This page explains what we do with the details you send us, in plain words. It follows South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
DVM Motions is a small South African studio that builds websites and property walkthrough videos. For your personal information, we are the responsible party under POPIA. You can reach us at hello@dvmmotions.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us:
- From the enquiry form: what you need, when you need it, your name, your email address and anything you write in the message box.
- From the "Ask us" chat, if you type a question: the question and the conversation so far, sent to answer it. The quick-answer buttons send nothing; they show answers already on this page.
This site uses no cookies and no advertising trackers. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you. It keeps one small note in your own browser for the current visit (that you have already seen the opening animation). That note never leaves your device.
Like every website, our web host keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to find out who you are.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote, and do the work you ask us to do. We never sell your details, and we never add you to a mailing list without asking first.
We use your details because you agreed to be contacted when you sent them. You can withdraw that agreement at any time.
Who else sees it
Only the services we need to run the site and talk to you. Cloudflare hosts this site, runs the spam check on the form and forwards email, and your enquiry is delivered to our studio inbox, hosted by Google (Gmail). Typed chat questions are answered by an AI model from Anthropic, which receives the question and the conversation so far. Each handles your details under its own data-protection terms. Some of these services store or process data outside South Africa. Please don't type ID numbers, banking or health details into the chat.
How long we keep it
We do not keep chat conversations: they live only in your open browser tab and are gone when you close it. If an enquiry does not turn into work, we delete it within 12 months. If you become a client, we keep your records for as long as South African tax law requires, then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct it, or delete it
- stop contacting you
Send the request by email to hello@dvmmotions.com. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Keeping it safe
Your details are stored only in our own password-protected accounts, with two-step sign-in where the service offers it. If your information is ever exposed, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
